Art and creativity came to life once again through ARTVANCE, an art workshop that provides a space for students of SMA Kristen Calvin to explore and develop their artistic abilities. On Thursday, August 20, 2026, ARTVANCE focused on the topic of Character Design, guided by Mr. Samuel Siregar, Arts and Crafts Teacher at SMA Kristen Calvin, together with special guests Jesselyn Kosasih and Lynetta Junia, alumni of SMA Kristen Calvin.
In this workshop, students were introduced to various key aspects of character design, from developing ideas to bringing them to life visually. Following the presentation and discussion session, students also had the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice through a character design masterclass. The students’ enthusiasm was evident from the full participant quota. A total of 24 students took part in ARTVANCE, either through registration or as participants of Fine Arts Mastering, one of the extracurricular programs at SMA Kristen Calvin. Each student created a character sheet as their final project, showcasing their unique ideas and creativity.
ARTVANCE is envisioned as a space where students can continue to explore, develop their artistic skills, and boldly transform their imaginations into meaningful works of art. With a variety of topics each month, ARTVANCE provides opportunities for students to discover and develop the talents God has entrusted to them.
